The 2023 Kia Sportage will be completely redesigned, and will be the first model that’s part of the fifth generation of Sportage vehicles. Kia has stated that the new Sportage design will be larger, more capable, and more powerful than the outgoing 2022 Sportage model. Kia plans to continue its push towards electrification with the 2023 Sportage, which will also be offered as an electric vehicle. 

2023 Kia Sportage Exterior Updates

The exterior of the Kia Sportage has received numerous changes as part of its redesign for 2023. The exterior silhouette of the new Sportage is more pronounced, featuring distinct boomerang-style daytime running lights, angular fenders, and more-defined shoulder lines running down the side of the vehicle. The 2023 Sportage is sharper and more rugged, providing a distinct appearance that is sure to stand out on the road.

2023 Kia Sportage Interior Updates

Inside the 2023 Kia Sportage, drivers will find an overhauled cabin inspired by modern architecture and premium furniture. New features include a cutting-edge driver cockpit with an available dual panoramic curved display and 12.3-inch infotainment screen. The 2023 Sportage is also more spacious than the outgoing 2022 model, featuring 1,049 millimetres of rear leg room and 1,121 litres of dedicated storage space. 

2023 Kia Sportage Performance

The 2023 Kia Sportage comes equipped with an all-new, four-cylinder, 2.5-litre engine. This powertrain is currently targeting 187 horsepower and comes paired with a new, eight-speed automatic transmission system. Four-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are both available. 

What Trims Will Be Available for the 2023 Sportage? 

Currently, specific trim level information is not available for the Canadian version of the 2023 Kia Sportage. Pricing, option package availability, and fuel economy ratings also remain unconfirmed for Canada.
